Mishipeshu Make their layers within cold and deep lakes or rivers, ambushing prey from below and sinking vessels with their mastery over water and storms.
Temperamental Weather. The area within 1 mile of a Mishipeshu has it's weather follow the creatures given temperament. While on the hunt, fog and rain rolls in. While enraged heavy wind and rain surge while lightning and thunder claps. While eating rapids gather protecting the Mishipeshu while it feasts. While creatures are within 1 mile of the Mishipeshu and within or submerged in a body of water, the creature has disadvantage on acrobatics, athletics, and stealth checks.
Mishipeshu use their natural affinity for water and their dexterity to ambush prey from below water or from fog created by their weather controlling abilities. They are intelligent hunters with a feline temperment, so if they don't think they can make a meal of something, they tend to avoid conflict, that is unless the creature they see is avian in nature, in which case they go out of their way to drown the creature, not necessarily to eat it, but mostly out of spite.
Mishipeshu are powerful water controlling semi-aquatic feline made from the maddening dreams of Koxoc or it's followers. They appear as lynx or panther like creatures with reddish orange spiky scale spines running along their spines down to the tip of their tail. They are not furred, rather covered in rusted copper colored fish scales. Their tails end in a reddish orange tuft of bristly fur, and their heads have only one pair of long koi fish like reddish orange whiskers.
Almost always malevolent, Mishipeshu wait at the bottom of lakes and rivers for animals and people to enter their territory, at which point calling forth storms and controling water to drown and feast on their victims. Their long standing rivalry with Rocs and Galvimikii is due in part to their opposing origins, however it's mostly due to their completely opposing natures. Dragons often keep or surround their layers with Mishipeshu as a natural enemies of Rocs and Galvimikii.
