11. Caught

A soft-spoken voice, from over my shoulder, questions intent; my heart frozen over. 

My eyes change their focus, the mirror unveils, a door that's ajar; the shadow assails.

My heart sinks; I turn; I stammer; I plead.

The flash stops my breath; my heart breaks its speed.

My arms stretched out weakly, my legs fail their tasks.

I sit there now trembling, I wonder; and ask.

Receiving a cackle, a grin ear to ear.

"I knew you were tempted; I left it" — she sneered.

holding a picture, of shame; and my tears.

"And now you get blackmailed; my slave; for the years."
