Líranu - Harmony Barrier
Lore:
A resonant shield that bends or softens incoming impacts, Líranu’s melody creates a layered barrier of overlapping arcs. It’s favored by warriors and healers alike for its subtle yet powerful protection.
Elements:
Effect: Calm, composed resolve
Wáni state: Netural and focused awarenss.
Shard: Gári Shard
Instrument: Pávo
Side / Miscast Effects:
Off harmony shield rings loudly when struck, revealing position.
Bad timing creates a weak spot that shatters on impact.
Weaving:
The Wáni plays a higher, steady pattern arpeggios repeated in a measured rhythm. Their fingers move confidently shaping a pale radiant ribbon. The ribboon spirals outward forming overlapping circular arcs around Wáni. These arcs shimmer with a soft, translucent light, like ripples on water. When impacted, the arcs flare in color, ringing softly with the force.
Note: The melody’s clarity and control are vital; mis-timed play causes weak spots.)
Effects:
Forms a protective shield that redirects or softens impacts.
Lasts several minutes or until intentionally dismissed.
Effective against sudden impacts, not prolonged heavy pressure.
Limitations & Risks:
Less effective against slow, crushing forces.
Poor timing or environmental interference can weaken or shatter the shield.
Requires space to form; cramped environments distort the arcs.
Manifestation:
A pale, glowing ribbon unfurls from the bracelet, forming layered arcs that circle the Wáni. When hit, the arcs flare with a gentle ringing, dispersing the impact’s force.
Additional Notes:
Best cast with steady, deliberate play.
Useful for quick defense in combat or emergency situations.
Rífani - Reflective shield
Type: Defense / Reflection
Lore:
A mirror of light that deflects and bounces incoming attacks, Rífani’s melody creates a shimmering, prismatic barrier. It’s a favored mélodi for guardians and strategists, turning enemy force back upon itself.
Components
Shard: Rífu Shard
Instrument: Pávo (Ocarina)
Emotion Focus: Focused awareness, calm, and clarity.
Wáni State: Alert and composed; panic weakens the shield.
Procedure:
The Wáni plays a series of clear, steady arpeggios—repetition and precision shaping the melody. Ashe’s fingers move slowly, drawing a white, glasslike ribbon that spirals outward, forming a layered, mirror-like shield. The shield’s surface ripples softly, reflecting ambient light with a prismatic shimmer. When struck, the shield flares with a soft ringing sound, dispersing the force.
(Note: The melody must be steady; hurried or distracted play causes the shield to weaken or shatter.)
Effects:
Creates a reflective barrier that can deflect or bounce back attacks.
Lasts briefly but can absorb a few solid hits before cracking.
Can be shaped to protect a small group or individual.
Limitations & Risks:
Not effective against magical or highly energetic attacks that bypass reflection.
Requires space to form; cramped environments distort the shield.
Overuse or poor focus can cause the shield to shatter prematurely.
Manifest:
A white, shimmering ribbon unfurls from the bracelet, twisting into overlapping, mirror-like arcs. When struck, the arcs flare with prismatic colors, scattering incoming force and briefly blinding with reflected light.
Additional Notes:
Best cast with precise, steady play.
Useful in combat to turn enemy attacks against them or protect from sudden strikes.
