The spell effect ends when the sword\u2019s demand is met.[\/in]\r\n[br]\r\n[b]Random Properties[\/b]. When wielded by a new owner, the [i]Sword of Kas[\/i] has the following random properties:\r\n[ul]\r\n[li]1 minor beneficial property[\/li]\r\n[li]1 major beneficial property[\/li]\r\n[li]1 minor detrimental property[\/li]\r\n[li]1 major detrimenal property[\/li]\r\n[\/ul]\r\n[br]\r\n[b]Spirit of Kas[\/b]. While the sword is on your person, you add a d10 to your initiative at the start of every combat. In addition, when you use an action to attack with the sword, you can transfer some or all of its attack bonus to your Armor Class instead. The adjusted bonuses remain in effect until the start of your next turn.\r\n[br][br]\r\n[b]Spells[\/b]. While the sword is on your person, you can use an action to cast one of the following spells (save DC 18) from it: [blocklink:1532777], [blocklink:1533470], or [blocklink:1533474]. Once you use the sword to cast a spell, you can\u2019t cast that spell again from it until the next dawn.\r\n[br][br]\r\n[b]Sentience[\/b]. The Sword of Kas is a sentient chaotic evil weapon with an Intelligence of 15, a Wisdom of 13, and a Charisma of 16. It has hearing and [tooltip:If you have Darkvision, you can see in Dim Light within a specified range as if it were Bright Light and in Darkness within that range as if it were Dim Light. You discern colors in that Darkness only as shades of gray.]darkvision[\/tooltip] out to a range of 120 feet.\r\n[in]The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Common.[\/in]\r\n[br][br]\r\n[b]Personality[\/b]. The sword\u2019s purpose is to bring ruin to Vecna. Killing Vecna\u2019s worshipers, destroying the lich\u2019s works, and foiling his machinations all help to fulfill this goal.\r\n[in]The Sword of Kas also seeks to destroy anyone corrupted by the Eye and Hand of Vecna. The sword\u2019s obsession with those artifacts eventually becomes a fixation for its wielder.[\/in]\r\n[br]\r\n[b]Destroying the Sword[\/b]. A creature attuned to both the Eye of Vecna and the Hand of Vecna can use the wish property of those combined artifacts to unmake the Sword of Kas. The creature must cast the wish spell and make a Charisma check contested by the Charisma check of the sword. The sword must be within 30 feet of the creature, or the spell fails. If the sword wins the contest, nothing happens, and the wish spell is wasted. If the sword loses the contest, it is destroyed.\r\n[br][br]\r\nProficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.","description":"When Vecna grew in power, he appointed an evil and ruthless lieutenant, Kas the Bloody Handed, to act as his bodyguard and right hand.
